How can you determine compatibility of a class or API with the J2EE specification?

How can you know whether some class or API provided with a J2EE compliant application server is compatible with the J2EE specification?
While there isn't a runtime/bytecode compatibility mechanism, Sun offers a J2EE Compatibility Test Suite (CTS) that all J2EE product providers must use to ensure that their product meets the requirements of the J2EE platform specification before they can claim that their product is J2EE compliant. Therefore, if their product is J2EE compliant you can typically assume that any J2EE API that they provide is compliant as well.
