Products of the Year 2007:

2007 SOA Products of the Year

SearchSOA.com recently embarked on our annual search for the best SOA and Web services products introduced this year. Our goal is to help you, our reader, choose the products you should include on your "A" list for evaluation.

Products were evaluated based on the following criteria:

  • Innovation
  • Performance
  • Ease of integration into environment
  • Ease of use and manageability
  • Functionality
  • Value
  • How well they enable service orientation
And so we identified the leading categories in the SOA space, solicited nominations from vendors and recruited a panel of judges. That panel was comprised of independent industry experts, analysts and SOA professionals. In order to keep the voting process untainted we went with secret ballots. The judges don't know how the others voted or even who the others were. The secret ballots protected the process against both lobbying by the entrants and commiseration among the panel members.

The process has enable us to present an independent, unbiased list of category leaders in this highly competitive market. The results are presented here.

You'll see the leading edge in the SOA product space, the products that go beyond 3-tier Web development and allow users of all sizes to build out an SOA infrastructure. The winners had to beat many innovative and worthy challengers. That's what makes this year's winners so worthy of recognition. And we congratulate the winners -- but we also take our hats off to all of the nominees because they gave our panel of judges quite a challenge. As an SOA decision-maker, you're in a great position. There are many excellent products to choose from. So be sure to do your research -- and if we can help in any way, let us know.
