It is critical that applications can seamlessly handle large data sets and get information into the appropriate hands in a timely fashion. Failure to be able to move large data sets from point A to B may mean it's time for application modernization. "Scalability issues will often indicate architecture problems," said Jaromir Hamala, senior consultant at C2B2 Consulting Limited. "It [a scalability issue] can also be a result of new conditions."
